Greetings T&T VIPs!
Just our luck – the school holidays arrive and so does the rain! But you know what they say about sod's law. Despite the soggy weather, nothing has dampened spirits or our customers' love for taking some time out together. It's been absolutely wonderful seeing so many families pop in for their special treat time, bringing warmth and laughter to brighten even the greyest days.
Don't forget, throughout the holidays, kids eat for just £1 with any adult meal purchase. Perfect for making those rainy days a little sweeter!
We look forward to seeing you soon!

Common Ground: Create & Connect Workshops at BAC
Wednesdays | 14 May – 22 October 2025Next workshop: This Wed 23 July, 10:30 am (2 hours) | Battersea Arts Centre
Common Ground is a nature-inspired community arts programme, rooted in the unique heritage of 575 Wandsworth Road - particularly its enchanting garden and intricate hand-carved wooden interiors.
Running monthly from May to October, the programme invites local residents to take part in free, artist-led workshops hosted at Battersea Arts Centre. Each session offers a chance to engage creatively with the natural world right on their doorstep.
The first workshop, taking place during Mental Health Awareness Week, will be led by papercutting artist Chloe Campbell. Participants will design nature-inspired papercuts drawing from the patterns and motifs found at 575 Wandsworth Road. These creations will then be transformed into beautiful cyanotype prints through a light-sensitive process, bringing each piece to life with light and shadow.
Common Ground is part of 575 Ways to Create and Connect - a broader initiative aimed at fostering creativity and community across all ages. Whether attending one session or many, participants will find a warm, welcoming space to create, connect and grow.Find out more here!

Lost the Plot: An Improvised Musical
Presented by Lost ImprovSaturday 26 July | Omnibus Theatre
Every show is the opening - and closing-night of a brand new musical, made up entirely on the spot.
Lost the Plot is an all-singing, all-dancing improvised musical where no two performances are ever the same. Every line of dialogue, piano note, and show-stopping chorus is created live, with the audience steering the story. Will the hero save the day? Fall in love? Join the circus? No one knows - not even the cast.
Following a string of sold-out performances across London, Lost Improv returns for a second season at the Omnibus Theatre. Featuring a cast of seasoned improvisers and West End talent, this laugh-out-loud musical adventure takes place on the last Saturday of every month.
Don’t miss the next performance on Saturday 26 July.Follow along for behind-the-scenes fun and updates: @lostimprov on Instagram & TikTok.

A Pereira gave us ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ on Google "A local favourite."[📸 The lovely @rachelhuntillustration on Instagram put up some new prints on Tuesday last week: "Always love switching my work at the fab Tried & True cafe in Putney. This month I have hung a selection of my favourite works. From 'Eat the Rainbow' and 'The Victors and the Vanquished' to my latest work, 'La Vie en Fleurs' there is something for everyone! Let me know what your favourite is!
Huge thanks to @triedandtruecafe for their ongoing support. They were the first place to exhibit my work over 10 years ago... and they are still giving me free rein over their walls."]

🤔 FOOD FOR THOUGHT
"Do not wait for the perfect moment. Take the moment and make it perfect."- Zoey Sayward
WHY VISIT THIS WEEK?
Because @rachelhuntillustration just refreshed her art display - and it’s bursting with colour, story, and soul. From the bold energy of 'Eat the Rainbow' to the floral dreaminess of 'La Vie en Fleurs', there's something on the walls for everyone to fall in love with.
As Rachel said:"There is something for everyone!"
Grab a coffee, maybe even lunch, soak up the art, and support a beautiful decade-long collaboration between a local artist and a beloved café.
