The Strength to Keep Growing

I'm really enjoying the slow down this August as a chance to review the year so far and the challenges that lie ahead.

I've been reading widely, looking for inspiration in books, blogs and podcasts.  Anywhere I can find it really. Every day I uncover a nugget of wisdom that really helps in planning the activity required to keep forging forward.

Entrepreneur James Sinclair recently wrote something that stopped me in my tracks: your ability to handle stress will dictate your success.

He's right. The world naturally flows opportunities toward those who've proven they can weather storms. When you consistently show up despite challenges, when you adapt rather than retreat, you become magnetic to the very things you're working toward.

We all gravitate toward people who find solutions instead of dwelling on problems, who innovate through difficult seasons rather than making excuses. Once you're trusted with one challenge, life offers you more – not as punishment, but as recognition.

The secret isn't pushing harder. It's becoming the kind of person that naturally attracts what you're seeking. Pull, not push.

The real work happens in becoming more capable, sharpening skills, building evidence of your ability to overcome. When you navigate setbacks with grace, when you learn instead of blame, you earn what Sinclair calls "pull status" – the kind of reputation that makes opportunities seek you out.

Be × Do = Have

What do you need to become, and what do you need to do, to have the life you're working toward?

Having you as my audience makes me accountable. I can't write about resilience and then crumble at the first inconvenience. Some days feel overwhelming – I catch myself wishing things were simpler, that there was an easier path.

But then I remember what we gain when we embrace difficulty: strength we didn't know we had, skills we never would have developed, and the quiet confidence that comes from knowing we can handle whatever comes next.

As Jim Rohn said: "Don't wish it was easier; wish you were better."

Whether you're building something new, repositioning something established, or simply navigating this season with intention – growth comes through challenge, not around it.

Thank you for showing up, for being part of this conversation. Your attention reminds me daily that we're all working to become a little stronger, a little more capable than we were yesterday.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Looking forward to seeing you soon!
